A little Greek Island....

Over the last month, thanks to this blog, a few History books, some great friends and a fabulous small team at http://www.kos-explorer/ we have now published an on line new Travel Guide http://www.kosexplorer.com/  giving reliable information and promoting the island of Kos, and local businesses.  We hope this will  help anyone who wishes to book a holiday in Kos, and to make sure they make the most of the time they spend on the island.  You can see clearly all the wonderful ancient sites, museums, walks and hikes, forest and mountains and the beautiful villages of Kos and of course so much more!
For families with children, some ideas on what to do on rainy days, or days when the sun is too much, or if they've just had enough of the beach or pool!
Restaurants and cafes, local tavernas wine bars and dancing bars will also be advertised, as well as many other shops around the island, so that people coming to the island can see what is on offer, and the huge range there is on this little island, in Greece.
Please take a look....we will be updating, and adding to it, making it better and better as the days go by!!!
Thank you for your continual support and words of encouragement.
We recently had a photo competition on the Facebook page too, which is well worth a look at, showing some fabulous pictures of the island, and you can vote for the ones you like. We thank everyone who has sent them in.

  1. Hi do you have an address or email address for the mayor/town council of kefalos as I have a few concerns to share.I,ve been going to Kefalos for 15 years or so, sometimes twice a year. The amount of litter , bottles, plastic bags etc has increased big time. we took friends who thought the place was dirty and unkept, they actually used words somewhat more severe. I know the Greeks don't have a lot to spend on, for example , the frontage were the rail has been down for some years but there is no excuse for not employing someone to clear the roads and beaches of litter. Anyone going to Kefalos for the first time would be less than impressed and would think the same. I would like the address of the local council/ mayors office (e-mail will do) . Also the amount of cats in the restaurants has become way over the top. I know the cats serve a purpose but I don't want to eat when there are 4 or 5 cats around my feet and one or two climbing onto the chair/table next to me. We have stopped going into some places that we have eaten in for years. When you complain they blame the tourists for feeding them....well put up some signs asking them not to do so. Will be going back cause we fell in love with the place but cant recommend to friends and family until they put the place in order. Not a huge expense. abarrow18@blueyonder.co.uk
